Develop a holistic, critical, and wide-ranging
knowledge and understanding of contemporary terrorism threats and counter terrorism strategies and tactics. You will critically consider existing conceptual frameworks for understanding terrorism and counter terrorism, and synthesise these through the production of extensive and sophisticated research based assessments and/or policy recommendations. Students will demonstrate expertise in discovering, critiquing, interpreting, and transmitting focused, specialist knowledge and analysis related to terrorism and counter terrorism.

Students will develop a critical and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contemporary terrorism threats and counter terrorism policies. Students will refine their expertise in researching and communicating knowledge and understanding of
terrorism related matters to both specialist and non-specialist audiences, while demonstrating higher order understandings of terrorism and counter terrorism practices.

Students will develop an understanding of the history of terrorism, critically analyse contemporary terrorism threats, apply
existing conceptual frameworks and synthesise these through the production of research based assessments. Students will develop their expertise in interpreting and transmitting this knowledge and understanding to both specialist and non-specialist audiences, while demonstrating judgment and initiative in its application.
